Pantai Parangtritis Jogja

Parangtritis is a village in the district Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

In this village there is the beach of the Indian Ocean located approximately 25 kilometers south of the city of Yogyakarta. Parangtritis is a well-known attraction in Yogyakarta in addition to other objects such as Samas beach, Baron, Kukup, Krakal and Glagah. Parangtritis has a unique landscape that is not found in other attractions besides the big waves are also the mountains tinngi sand around the beach, volcanic sand called dunes. This attraction has been managed by the local governments pretty well Bantul, ranging from lodging facilities and markets selling souvenirs Parangtritis. In addition there are baths called machetes allegedly wedang water baths can cure various diseases including skin diseases, water from the baths containing sulfur that comes from the mountains in that location. Other locations are in coastal Beach Parangkusumo that there is supposedly a place for a meeting between the king Yogyakarta and Nyi Roro Kidul. Locals believe that a person must not use green colored clothes if you're in this beach. Parangtritis become a major tourist visits, especially on New Years Eve Java (1 muharram/Suro).

In Parangtritis there are also ATV, horse-drawn carriage & horses can be rented for up the coast from east to west. while also Parangtritis as a place for air sports / aeromodeling.
